COUNSELLING SESSIONS
I offer one to one sessions in a safe comfortable, private therapy room which is based in a peaceful village location just outside St. Ives in Cambridgeshire. The Sessions run for 50 minutes. My aim is to walk alongside you to explore whatever it may be that is getting in the way and to help you connect to your own internal resources, to achieve a balanced and fulfilling life.
WHAT IS COUNSELLING?
Counselling provides a confidential, safe space where you will be listened to without judgement. Counsellors do not offer advice, they respect each individual as the expert of their own life. A counsellors role is to empower the individual to search for their own solutions. Counselling offers a place to be truly heard which allows for exploration of both your internal and external worlds.
"when the other person is hurting, confused, troubled, anxious, alienated, terrified; or when he or she is doubtful of self-worth, uncertain as to identity, then understanding is called for. The gentle and sensitive companionship of an empathic stance...... provides illumination and healing."
Carl Rogers
